Have to choose a new work phone but I have a hard time deciding ... Friend's Galaxy S5 and 8200 mah battery seems awesome so Apple and Microsoft are not up to my mind. Since the new phone is supposed to live with me for like 2 years, so..what's the average life span of Samsung phone? Anyone have opinions? Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or Galaxy S5?
I have a Galaxy S4. Never any problems. Nice thing is that you can easily and cheaply replace the battery. Nice big screen. I used to have an iPhone, but wanted a bigger screen, so I switched to the S4. Took a while to adjust to Android, but now I'm happy and will stay with this phone for at least another year or two.
2 years are no problem at all. I still have the Galaxy S and S3 myself. Friends have the S4 and S5. All those are still alive. Yes it is the battery, but it can be replaced at any of those Samsung devices. The battery capacity becomes less and less, a replacement after 2-3 years is reasonable. The lifespan of the phone itself depends on how you handle it....most die because they are accidentally dropped or people sat on it and the screen cracked.
Al samsung phone looks same to me no matter which one you buy. And their user interface is so boring i don't even know why people buy it.
I switched from Samsung Galaxy to Iphone recently . Samsung phones are very robust but the touch functionality is sluggish when you compare it to an Iphone but most Samsung phones can actually last like forever . My Dad uses a Samsung S2 since I don't know when.. It still works perfectly .
ive got a Samsung alias 2 form 2009 im still using, the battery still holds a charge for about 4 days and I never have replaced it ! I dropped it more than once fell in a lake with it in my pocket so I think I got my monies worth lol . the wife keeps trying to talk me into buying a new one I just getting used to using some of the functions I didn't know it had
Thank goodness we have many many choices but far too many folks get over taken in marketing hype and a few reviewers biased opinions. Most of us seem to stick with brands we had past success with thinking it's the best. For me first and foremost it's a phone and should perform best at that task. I don't really care what it's made of unless the material makes it slippery or interferes with receiving calls/WiFi or wireless charging. Yes,I like built in wireless charging. I like the least carrier and manufacture added features as possible out of the box so I can customize to my liking and not what someone else thinks would be good for me. My spouse has a Note 2 for over 2 years and doesn't want to part with it. I'm a Nexus person ,4,5,6,when it comes to phones but not the other devices especially the Nexus 9 tablet and Nexus Player. Choices are good whether they're yours or mine. There's no Apples in my home. T-Mobile 4 line family plan with 4 no contract phones
