The next couple days it's going to be cold..... It wasn't so bad when I was younger because then I could go snowmobiling, sledding and ice fishing. Not that interested now day's. Maybe move to Arizona? I going to be feeling for those in the north east cuz it's coming your way.
Do you see penguins outside your front window? Because that seems like Antarctica temperatures.. It's going to be 75 in Phoenix tomorrow, 73 in Tucson. Make the move, you won't regret it. Well, you might after you experience your first summer here, lol. But the heat's easier to deal with than sub-zero temps by far. -18?? That's friggen cold!
lol.@joe C; thats pretty cold.. it is above freezing point here, and i like it.. no ambition to do winter sports on my old age..
This morning it was -12f. I live in Mich, not Alaska, where it might be warmer Tonight it may get -20f but they are saying on Monday it could go up to 40f The local utility has asked for peeps to turn down their heat to conserve the demand but if I do that my pipes might freeze up, ain't going to let that happen here. This cold front is supposed to head east from here, so those of you over there in the north east beware.... cuz it's going to get nasty
20 F at McMurdo Station in Antarctica; warmer than parts of the northern US right now. To everybody in the polar vortex's path: stay warm and be safe
I moved to washing state from the Bronx about 1959-60 with the help of the army and stayed out here, in western Washington we get mostly rain and the temps are around 28-40 in the winter .the mountains get the snow by the foot the higher ones have snow all year long on them, believe it or not northern Arizona "Williams" gets more snow then we do where I live lol.
@zen45: yeah, there's a ski resort in Williams and a much bigger one in Flagstaff, about 30 miles east. Arizona's northern part is high elevation- much cooler. Southern half is desert. I lived in Washington state also (in Seattle and Redmond) for two years and it's tough there for people who love sunshine- you just don't see it much of it, except for three months in the summer. It is beautiful there though.
yes 3 months sounds about right I live in Puyallup south of Seattle I have in-laws living in mesa and Williams if it gets below 70 in mesa its cold lol and Williams in the winter is colder then Puyallup even tho Puyallup is a lot further north but closer to the coast !
