When I "check for updates" I get the message :

    "Check for updates for your computer".

    this is not error message. what can I do about it ?

    With a description you posted probably no one can help we need better information or even a screen shot of the error.

    The updates list got back when I restore hidden update.

    malware hiding it ?
    i would run adwcleaner from bleepingcomputer as a precaution.

    I don't get the message anymore, but I don't get new updates, only what I restore (important) and optional.
    If I will install the important update, next time I reboot windows I will not see a list of updates and I get the message I wrote here.
