Let's say WZOR is right and partners get RTM in the middle of this week. Does anyone know if it will be available via MSDN / Technet so we can verify the ISO that gets leaked? I definitely want to download RTM but I don't want to unless I can match the SHA1 and verify its a legitimate image. Let me know what you guys know or think.
That's good to know. I just hate downloading stuff from the internet without being able to verify the legitimacy. Even though Wzor has never had a bad release (as far as I know), I still like being extra safe when it comes to installing an OS. I hope it's soon. I'm itching to install it
one is for sure: Technet will not show any files any more since it is retired. MSDN usually get the files onlined during an event like a partner conference (Orlando) which means if W10 RTMed during these days the chance is high that we can d/l from MSDN by next week, fingers crossed
Usually the partner events and msdn coincide. As I mentioned in another thread, if MS releases to partners there is still a possibility of a delta between partner release and RTM. We may have 2 sets of ISO's to deal with. Never know, but for some of us who collect/distribute these iso's, its a pain in the ass. lol
Personally I'm not so convinced MSDN will get the ISO's sooner this time. We nearly didn't with 8.... I hope I'm wrong but just a feeling with the changes M$ have been making.
Probably so. I have VLSC account but can't remember last time I actually downloaded anything from it, always available from somewhere else beforehand.
I just don't want the preview/insider crap at this point. I want the RTM image now. Been holding off for a while hoping it would be soon.
