When was your Last Backup?

    Hey guys!! A couple of weeks ago I had a Big trouble when I accidentally lost all my Data on my computer! i work at home so imagine how bad it was!
    I´ve desided to secure my PC and Data from horrible threaths

    I´ve tried the ZenOK.com Free Antivirus with the Backup tool.

    Everyone should have a backup at home believe me it was a really bad loosing my Data

    about a year ago i set up an older pc as a windows home server. i get a daily backup.

    i usually store really important files on another harddrive, preferably usb storage, from the get-go

    only when i intend to reinstall my rig i make full backups on things like bookmarks and some of the contents of my desktop
    documents and pictures usually find their way to my H: drive

    Yes same backup important files on seperate disks/partitions and just reinstall Windows if something bad happens.

    Since I ahev 2 laptop (Big one and Netbook) and my Big one act as a Desktop. My GF as a Netbook also and we have a server.

    Here is what I do at least 1 time per week

    - All data from big laptop ==> Big External HDD
    - All data from big laptop ==> Small External HDD
    - All data from big laptop ==> My Netbook
    - Documents/Picture from my Big laptop ==> Server

    - All data from my GF netbook ==> Big laptop
    - All data from my GF netbook ==> My Netbook
    - All data from my GF netbook ==> Server

    - Server Data (GPO, Kerio Connect Backup, etc.) ==> Big laptop
    - Server Data (GPO, Kerio Connect Backup, etc.) ==> My netbook
    - Server Data (GPO, Kerio Connect Backup, etc.) ==> Second HDD inside Server (not in mirror, Windows Backup with scheduled task)

    Backup I do from time to time
    - Everything (server, big laptop, GF netbook, etc.) ==> Big External HDD at my parent's house

    Safe I said?

    Why don't you have an image of fresh install then you can put system back on in a few minutes.

    I just bought ZenOK Online Backup it backup constantly all my selected data : )

    I backup the OS every month with O&O DiskImage.
    I never store irreplaceable family pictures on this drive,I have 2 external drives for this and then use SynchBack to keep the pics and anything else vital accross the drives so I have a copy on each drive in case of HDD failure.Hard drives are so cheap enough these days.

    I am the worst!!:eek: I have never backed up either my gaming rig or my laptop. Although I really don't keep anything I can't live without on them, I store all that stuff on the server. If my hd borks:suicide: I wipe reformat and re-install:nosweat:
