I have a Galaxy S III. I have exported my contacts to a .vcf file that is stored on my phone. I then imported that file to my G-Mail account so I now have a backup in G-Mail. My questions are: 1.Where are my contacts stored on the phone before I had to export them to a .vcf file? 2.When I do a "Backup" of everything on my phone, where the heck does it backup to? It says it's backing up to my G-Mail, but I can't find anyplace in my account that is a backed up file. 3. What the heck does "Sync" do? I've synched my phone to my G-Mail, but the list of contacts in my G-Mail never changes. How does sync know which files I want to keep and which I want to change when I tell my phone to sync? In other words, if I edit my contacts, or add a new app to my phone, how does it know which I want to keep and which I want to change (phone or G-Mail) when I synch? jetjock
