Thank you for the links, I would like to install Windows 10 directly so I won't even activate it. I've read that aside from a desktop watermark everything works just as fine without activation. Another question though - can Office 2016 be properly activated with the MTK? If not, with what then? Thanx!
I think you may want to rethink that brilliant plan, don't you have any old keys from Win 7, 8, 8.1, download Win 10, everytime it asks for key on install, SKIP, when installed, open settings, Update & Security, down to activation enter key, remember keys go to matching OS's, Home to Home, Pro to Pro, good luck, you will need lots of it with no activation, I read somewhere if it was not activated, you would stop receiving Windows updates after 6 weeks and lots of other neat things to, do you think Microsoft is just going to let you slide, think again, and a little tip, do not take your computer to shop when it starts acting crazy, it's just the activation doing it, no charge.
Where did you read that stuff? That's definitely wrong. I have a VM with Win10 since it hit RTM, never activated and still getting updates every month.
Several ways to Activae Windows 10 1. Genuine MAK key 2. Genuine OEM keys bothe OEM 3.0 and OEM non-slp 3. Genuine Retail key 4. GVLK key and that takes Genuine MS approved KMS or Pirate KMS (and KMS is not permanent only good for 180days - then do it again)
It's not free if you installed from fresh without entitlement, which is what I did with the VM of course. Updates will always be downloadable whether it's an activated version of Windows or not. Everything else would be stupid and help spreading viruses and exploits.
The license (key) is what isn't free, you are free to DL the iso's at any time freely. Installing it freely and agreeing to its terms freely. Only the key is what you pay for. So don't buy a key and use a KMS solution and then you avoid the key fee hee hee corny, yes.. *sigh*
Only 2 and 3 are official for private users (non corp or non pirate). MAK = not in stores GVLK = only for KMS activation (kmspico and, i believe MTK too, both have a service running which does the activation every 24hr or reboot). Gvlk's won't activate anything on it's own. Establishing a HWID is also a genuine method to activate win 10 atm.
