Hi, I just repair installed my machine, and lost the activation. Where can I find the latest version of KMS for activation of Windows 8.1 and Office 2013? Where is the "KMS section" in this forum?
Tell me something, is it better than using Microsoft Toolkit ? I am a little confused between the two.
MTK is abandoned by its developer, KMS_VL_ALL is the most uptodate KMS solution and has active support.
Okay I have downloaded KMS_VL_ALL from the link given by you. But I have Office 2013 installed can you tell me what is the difference between Office 2013 and Office Volume? Will this script for Office 2013?
Office 2013 can be either Retail or VL. If it is Retail you must convert it to VL before activating with KMS_VL_ALL: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...install-activation.62571/page-28#post-1150042
@sreyan32 http://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/838808 Code: # Check Activation Status: * You can use those scripts to check the status of Windows and Office products * Both scripts do not require running as administrator, a double-cick to run is enough * Differences: - Check-Activation-Status.cmd: query and execute official licensing VBScripts: slmgr.vbs for Windows, ospp.vbs for Office it can show exact date on when will Windows Volume activation will expire Office 2010 ospp.vbs show few info - Check-Activation-Status-Alternative.cmd: query and execute native WMI functions, no vbscripting involved it show extra more info (SKU ID, key channel) it can show status of Office UWP apps it does not show expiration date for Windows it show more detailed info for Office 2010
Okay this is what I get after running Check-Activation-Status-Alternative.cmd Code: ************************************************************ *** Windows Status *** ************************************************************ Name: Windows(R), Professional edition Description: Windows(R) Operating System, RETAIL channel Activation ID: Extended PID: Product Key Channel: Retail Partial Product Key: License Status: Notification Notification Reason: 0xC004F009 (grace time expired). ____________________________________________________________________________ ************************************************************ *** Office Status *** ************************************************************ Name: Office 15, OfficeProPlusVL_KMS_Client edition Description: Office 15, VOLUME_KMSCLIENT channel Activation ID: Extended PID: Product Key Channel: Volume:GVLK Partial Product Key: License Status: Licensed Volume activation expiration: 258999 minute(s) (179 day(s)) Configured Activation Type: All Most recent activation information: Key Management Service client information Client Machine ID (CMID): DNS auto-discovery: KMS name not available Registered KMS machine name: 192.168.22.47:1688 KMS machine IP address: 192.168.22.47 KMS machine extended PID: Activation interval: 120 minutes Renewal interval: 43200 minutes KMS host caching: Enabled ____________________________________________________________________________ I am confused does it mean Office is actually activated? If so how can that be, since my Windows is not activated yet. What is the meaning of OfficeProPlusVL_KMS_Client edition ? Does it mean I have the VL version of Office? Is there any way I can remove my previous activation? It was done with Microsoft Toolkit. I also get the following error when I use Check-Activation-Status.cmd Code: ERROR DESCRIPTION: The Software Licensing Service reported that the product was activated but the owner should verify the Product Use Rights. How can it show my office products as activated? When Windows is not activated?
You have Office VL it seems activated already, through your LAN or VM NAT why are you removing IDs? they are mostly generic that is just side-effect-info error you get when your machine does not have BIOS SLIC 2.1 (i.e. Windows 7 OEM support) you need to activate Windows then unless your machine have this limitation https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1509004/ since yoy are using Professional, better to use Windows Loader to activate
What is Windows Loader? Can't I use KMS_VL_ALL ? Do you think Office is Activated from my previous installation? I recently did a repair install/in-place upgrade. Do you think I should start over from scratch ?
Yes you can maybe clean is always preferable, but if you don't have issues just try to activate with KMS_VL_ALL
