I am setting up Windows Firewall Control with a tutorial from another forum and it says:

"You may also want to create some allow Windows rules for some select Windows apps. such as:— Core Networking - Teredo, Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe) and System (System)."

Before the tutorial mentioned to create allow rule for the web browser and I could easily locate and create allow rule for that. But I am unable to find the above mentioned apps. Can you help me locate these apps? :g:

In your case, you'll only need to allow the service host (found here: %systemroot%\System32\svchost.exe), the other two are not necessary.

The Windows firewall works just fine without any user intervention. Unless you have installed pirated programs which phone home, I would leave it alone. I have never found any need other than what I just mentioned to mess with it.
