Ccleaner. Pro: - Free - Small footprint - Fast - Reliable (you can make backups of reg cleaning) - I never encountered problems - Quite many features - Thorough Cons: - Perhaps professional suites have more options, I'm not sure, I like this utility!
This is a very difficult question to answer, as there is no comparison found in the web. Have gone through a lot of them, and different crap cleaners result in different output for you to clean. Some are more aggressive, I believe. The importance is that they should be safe to clean, and won't give you any problems afterwards. Personal experience is very important and not a couple of entries more or less to be deleted. Ccleaner is the one by far to be the less problematic. I am not saying it is the best, but it can be regarded as safe to be used.
I couldn't choose. So I use about 5 or 6 diff registry cleaners. Makes me feel better. The ones I use are: Ccleaner (of course) CleanMyPC RegCure Glary Registry Repair Registry Mechanic And I use the registry cleaners in: Xp Repair Pro & TuneUp Utilities
Loose the CleanMyPc and TuneUp. They're not accurate. The rest is all good though. I only use Ccleaner, concurring with EVERYTHING moonburn allready said.
Do mind that u need some knowledge of the registry, as it gives out many values and keys that are not supposed to be deleted. And always backup first when using RegSeeker, in case issues would arrise. It gave me over 3000 entries, but I ended up removing less then half of them. Took some time too to spit them out. Still it was a total of over 1000 entries not found by ccleaner, which is very good.
That is because Crap Cleaner was created to be a safe registry cleaner. It is for noobs that don't want to get there hands dirty. So for them it is a great program. Other full scan registry cleaners are vfor people that know what they are doing.
