VL is the best. IMHO cracked DLL is the worst because MSO.dll is a core file to office, in order to stay cracked after an update you have to replace the core library with an ancient, bug filled version. If there was a patcher that patched the newer DLL fine, but there isn't. This isn't too bad of a method, works on all SKUs: Code: Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\Office Setup Controller\Proof.en" open Proof.XML in notepad scroll down to the the bottom. You should see lines like this... </Feature> <Feature Id="SetupXmlFiles" Cost="1248"> <OptionRef Id="AlwaysInstalled"/> </Feature> Just change the line AlwaysInstalled with neverInstalled retaining the quotes... Save the file and u are ready to go... As it is Microsoft's stopping OGA, and as it is OGA only impacts downloading templates.
1. So if I did this on a 2010 Office Pro + (VL switched), the suite will still update? 2. Any further tips or warnings of any other disadvantages?
