I have a Mid-2011 21.5" iMac which is running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (highest supported os version officially). I'm wondering how to get Office installed on this machine? I saw the system requirements of Office 2021 and saw that it only supports the previous 3 os versions. I'm ok to install an older version of Office if required.
Office 2019/Microsoft 365 build 16.29.1 should be possible and it should run, but if You want any newer, You must have at least macOS version 10.14.0 or later or must use some clever method to install it and then also disable updates. Even for Office 2019 is wise to disable feature updates and install only security updates. I haven't personally tested and can only retell what I have read. So, if sombody have personal experience, maybe they can say something more exactly to You.
Thanks for your reply. Any idea how to get the installer for that version of Office Suite? I found the macadmins.software website but the suite installers are not available for older versions. Also where can I get the volume license serializer for it?
@slipperyfisherman https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/77988/ FYI, 16.43.0 was the last build compatible with macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. You can find the relevant download link on the macadmins page under the "Office for Mac Release History" header.
Thanks a lot.. I missed the Suite download option in macadmins. I'll try installing 16.43 and using the serializer (X22-61752)
