I added an SSD to my computer and want to install latest available version of 7 Ulti, 64, English.

I have X17-59463 is there a newer version, I should use?

(sorry, for asking this, but there are too many different answers in the thread, and I am sure there many forists here like Tito, who will know the correct answer to this immediately. If there is something better, what number should I use?)

    Thank You

    Thank you.....

But this brings me to another question. There are some old Firefox Add-ons that only exist in the 32 version, and also some old software and some old games for dos-box...

I have read a lot about 32 and 64, but I admit, I have not understood, why 64 is really essentially better...
I am sure, I would survive without one or two of the add-ons I am used to to, but can someone explain why it is really DEFINITLY necessary to use 64?

x64 in this case is the OS only. Your Firefox is still 32bit, running in a compatibility layer (WOW64). Thus the Fx extensions still work.

Some do, some don't... If my memory serves me well, Morning Coffee and Fast Dial do not.
I am fine with 32, I am having enough problems with that one... The same 7 ULti DVD installed on HDD and on SSD , yet the mouse no longer works.... >>>> :weeping::weeping::weeping:

This definitely true, there are simply too many posts on this.
I think I understand why, and it is nice when many try to help, but finding the right version of an OS is something that usually users do, who have not too much experience, someone like me. Because when you ask which one, you are usually given a link, that leads to a post, that again has 40 different possibilities. And it is not too hard to pick the wrong one...

It might be helpful to make one definite list with the latest updated versions of all possible OS installations, and give credit too ALL who worked on it??
