I purchased a netbook (LG X120) which had Windows XP Home Greek ULCPC installed.

I formatted everything (included the LG recovery partition).I have all the drivers though.

Now i want to install Windows XP Home English.

Can you suggest me which version to download in order to use the licensed key in the back of the netbook?

    Regards

PS:Great forum, glad that i registered!

First thing to do is download OEMBIOS tool (v1.1) run it to detect which OEM SLP string is present. if it comes up with CRC:8D3A3465 then you can use disk named WINDOWS.XP.PRO.SP3.32-BIT.(X86).LG-8D3A3465.OEM from thread in link below. The key that you see on the back of your netbook will be OEM COA key that is not the key used for your installation.

Windows-XP-PRO-SP3-SP2-OEM-CDs-32-bit-64-bit key is integrated into cd no need to add one.

Also please try and read the stickies e.c.t and you would have found out how to make your own cd that would work, rather than just comming on to forum and asking which cd would work that why the forums are here to teach.

    It is indeed CRC:8D3A3465.
You say the key is intergrated in the cd;will i be able to download via windows update?
What do you mean the key in the back of my netbook is OEM COA?In which cases i need it?
Windows XP Pro run with same "speed" as the Home edition in a netbook?

Sorry for asking these things, believe me i'm trying to read forum's posts for my case.

Yes you will be able to download via windows update with no problem at all and XP pro will run just as fast as home.
look Here for information about OEM SLP Activation it explains how vista activates but XP is similar but uses SLP 1.0 for XP i,e, manufacturer name in DMI area your is LG + OEM SLP key + LG CRC:8D3A3465 oembios files.

The only one available for your machine is WINDOWS.XP.PRO.SP3.32-BIT.(X86).LG-8D3A3465.OEM so you either downoad that and use it or find WINDOWS.XP.HOME.SP3.32-BIT OEM or Retail and convert it to OEM SLP so you need to start reading the stickies.
