Can anyone help me with this ?

I had Vista and Windows 7 dual booting from separate hard drives. When Microsoft announced the free Win 10 upgrade I installed a legit copy of Windows 8.1.

After install Vista no longer runs - blue screens with STOP message.

Windows 7 is fine as is Windows 8.1 ?

    Any Ideas ?

Yeah? Dual booting separate hard drives and then installing a third OS, 8.1. Where did third OS (8.1 installation) go? To the Vista drive on a different partition, a third drive or a partition on the Win7 drive? Or maybe it over wrote Vista but the Vista boot item remains at startup.
