Hi everybody! Every time I enter my two keys of Windows 8, the file Setupbox not accept my keys and tells me they are not valid! And I'm sure they are valid since I have two PCs that came from the factory with Windows 8 and managed to install all available updates to Windows 8 via Windows Update! Can someone help me? Hugs!
Well if is says they are wrong then they are. A number of reasons comes to mind but first make sure you are spelling them correctly. Are you installing Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.0?
Assume you are trying to d/l the ISO... only retail keys work (even generated ones..) Your OEM keys are only valid for activation...(also don't think the generic key works on installation if using their ESD based ISO's either...)

I downloaded this forum ISO Windows 8.1 (MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.RTM.X86.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT and MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.RTM.X64.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT) files. The User Napalmguy quotes on a topic (Question about upgrading to WMC) on a trick to install, but does not mention the trick because the rules of the forum. Also the rules of the Forum, I can not even put images and links here! What do you advise me to do? Although I am of the days of Windows 3.11, I have no experience with Windows 8.1 and I need the help of the members of this forum! I hope all of you have understood my horrible english! The Windows 8 Key will work for to activate Windows 8.1 but install! For installation of Windows 8.1 directly, you'll need the "Generic Product Key" which you could find in the Stickies. After the installation is don, you'll have an non activated Windows 8.1 and at this point you use your Windows 8 Key for to activate. Do that all first and after done, come back here for the next steps.
they did work, that's how i once downloaded the Windows 8.1 Pro EN-UK but I never used it coz I don't want the UK version and want the US version so I deleted the ISO but at one point, the generic keys did work until MC blacklisted them
I dont get it, just download the .iso from the repository or your preferred .magnet provider and move on, this forum is full of drama.
because he wants an updated ISO from Microsoft directly that has the GA updates incorporated. Mind your own business and don't bad mouth a valid user request
So now you're a mind reader, where in the thread the user says he wants an iso that includes the GA patches, he has key / setupbox issue, just that.
