    W7 Professional can use either KMS or OEM SLP key

    Why the same is not possible with Enterprise?

    What is missing from Ent to be able to OEM activate?

    Thanks

    Uh, an OEM:SLP key maybe? :D

    [EDIT]
    According pkeyconfig.xrm-ms it would be possible to pre-activate Enterprise using OEM:SLP if a such key would exist

    Code:
    <pkc:Configuration>
    <pkc:ActConfigId>{358fb95b-0090-44fb-883a-75734e060c30}</pkc:ActConfigId>
    <pkc:RefGroupId>178</pkc:RefGroupId>
    <pkc:EditionId>Enterprise</pkc:EditionId>
    <pkc:ProductDescription>Windows 7 Enterprise OEM:SLP</pkc:ProductDescription>
    <pkc:ProductKeyType>OEM:SLP</pkc:ProductKeyType>
    <pkc:IsRandomized>false</pkc:IsRandomized>
    </pkc:Configuration>
    <pkc:KeyRange>
    <pkc:RefActConfigId>{358fb95b-0090-44fb-883a-75734e060c30}</pkc:RefActConfigId>
    <pkc:PartNumber>X15-38947</pkc:PartNumber>
    <pkc:EulaType>OEM</pkc:EulaType>
    <pkc:IsValid>true</pkc:IsValid>
    <pkc:Start>927720000</pkc:Start>
    <pkc:End>927724999</pkc:End>
    </pkc:KeyRange>

    there is a oem Enterprise on wzor for "N" so there must be a standard oem Enterprise also, I think just like the "N" editions oem Enterprise is rare so no keys to leak.

    Eit: Companies apparently wait for the first sp before deploying a new os so maybe these editions will now be more available.

    that would be fantastic!
    i have been searching for the Ultimate N OEM key for months.
    people tell me just install Ultimate and disable, but the core files for WMP/WMC are installed, they're just turned off.
    i'd prefer all of that was left out completely.

    Windows 7 Professional is available through both retail and volume license channels, like Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Business, which is why it will "accept" retail and OEM keys. Windows 7 Enterprise is available only through the volume license channel. Therefore, it will not come pre-installed with any new computers. Companies will usually create a custom Windows 7 Enterprise image, deploy it on several or all computers, and connect these computers to a domain. "On top" of all these computers will be a Windows Server machine, which will also operate as a KMS server to activate all the Windows 7 Enterprise machines.
    As Freestyler said, since all Windows 7 editions are basically the same, it would be possible to activate Enterprise with an OEM key, if one existed.

    If anyone needs a valid kms server, dswin7kms.usd232.org SHOULD work :)
