Why windows 8 7955 is so fast?

    i thought i was the only one that noticed that,especially when i am browsing with multiple tabs open in firefox/opera/chrome/safari/IE/,especially when moving files in windows explorer and downloading:clapping:

    i was asking myself the same question, this OS is even faster than XP on old rigs
    i came up with the answer that they are heavily optimizing it, to turn it into a instant os for tablet.

    They took loads of legacy stuff out of kernel 6.1 and plus a ton of speed and performance improvements to make kernel 6.2...the new kernel is way lighter, and as a result, everything is faster...:cool:

    Indeed they took out lots of things.
    One of the is ACPI 1.x support, it now needs acpi 2.0 and that's why vmware can't run it yet.
    But that's only the beginning of the list.
