the generic drivers that are pre-installed with win10 are from 2013, while there's an updated version of the driver from 2015 that is available both via WU and manufacturer's website. The generic (old) driver works perfectly while the "updated" version makes the wifi adapter loose signals randomly. So is it okay to stick with the old driver, are there any other drivers required in win10 to install along with the new driver to woerk properly that i might be missing?
You must use this driver, which is compatible with Your system and works correctly and there is no reason to think that all Microsoft engineers Who makes Windows 10 are stupid and don't know nothing about drivers.
hardware id- PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&SUBSYS_667511AD&REV_01 (broadcom) generic/working win 10 driver- 6.30.223.256 WU/manufacturer's site driver- 7.35.290.0 @Tito
i am too prepared for that, but what worries me is some night MS will push new driver on this system without my approval. edit: i know that there still are ways that can prevent driver updates, but still think about most users who would never connect to internet peacefully because MS keeps pushing a broken driver. It's just sad
This is something, what I do not understand. I have never had such a problem, even if I use some older driver than the Windows server offers. There has never been replaced any of my drivers by Microsoft/Windows. I do not understand why they do not replace my drivers but replacing them for everyone else. It's really weird. They probably are afraid of me.
driver version - 7.35.352.0 also found on microsoft catalg update, don't know why device manger couldn't find this
