hi, my windows 10 laptop keeps on dropping its connection frequently. I contacted my ISP and they said it is a windows issue. Is anyone else having such an issue? if yes, how do i fix it plz thx
Could you please provide more information? - what laptop do you have - what is your network adapter? (qualcomm, intel, broadcom, etc...) - have you updated the driver? Check the device manager on windows 10 for that information.
It could be your Power settings. I had a similar issue with a HP Laptop. Does it only drop when not charging the Laptop?
Your post lacks sufficient hardware info for a proper solution; but if you're using an integrated adapter, MSI has a pretty good document on settings. Just do a search for "How to improve the quality of wireless connection? (For IntelĀ® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 / 7260)"
I have the same issue here. Actually not me but a couple of my clients. I did everything i can and they still have the same problem coming back. Lievre
Usually it is caused by not well inserted Wi-Fi card or the cables not properly connected. Sometimes it is broken cables at the hinges or simply a driver problem. I often advise people to troubleshoot starting with check for Wi-Fi card issues.
