wifi problem with windows 8.1..please help

    i recently installed windows 8.1 pro and the issue i am facing is that there are full signals when i am beside the router but as soon as i move 3-4 metres it disappears. this doesnt happen in other laptops and mobiles only in the one window s8.1 is installed..

    my laptop also went for a service so is there a problem with the adapter?

    Please help me sort out the problem because earleier wifi was working fine

    I'm curious why it was sent for a service.

    Maybe they spilt some oil on one of the wires ?:rolleyes:

    How about looking up the brand and type of the wireless adapter in this laptop and search for a driverupdate..?
    This usually does the trick when installing a brandnew OS (W8) on an older machine...
