I bought a Lenovo labtop off Ebay. Shockingly, recieved it with a full HD and Win7 Ultimate 32 bit. I would like to do a clean install with Digitalriver's X17-24395 iso image. The computer's OS has X15-3892 part no.. I believe Digitalriver is of FPP flavor and the lenovo has R retail in its propeties. Both are 7601 build. Can I use the X15 productkey to activate the x17 image, will it activate online without loaders?

With Windows 7 there is no difference as far as keys being OEM or Retail so I would say it should work.

Model 8744c9u or 8477c9u . Originally XP Pro now win7ultimate. HD capacity is 88.7gb so might have hidden recovery partition if upgrade to windows 7 from XP. Lenovo site says system shipped with 100gb HD.

I retrieved the key with Magic Jelly Bean utility. Downloaded ABR and tried to backup activation. Only got product key folder but no activatation certificate folder. Now I'm getting "activate now" message ( 2 days left). Supposedly, will get original disc early next week.
