I was just wondering what the chance is that MS will blacklist the leaked OEM key hence marking installations using that key as fake ?

Or is it too late for the OEM's to change their production images ?

    ...

Even if manufacturing could switch their certs, etc., the replacements would leak just as well and BIOS emulators would come soon after. It's all just a fantastic cat and mouse game...

How do we know what this leaked key is used for? Or why it's been leaked?

it's either now or never, they can't blacklist it after SP1.

but it's useless to blacklist it, soon many others will come out...

i think keys should be kept within mydigitallife members only.

some of them for publicity, posting the keys from mydigitallife to some other forums and gradually microsoft will get to know about it... and will block it.

we can't expect microsoft will not block like that.

Things are different now. Windows 7 is microsoft's soul OS, they never had this much perfect OS and i'm sure Windows 7 is the most popular OS, as compared to all other Microsoft OS now. Sooner or Later....

So my best advice for our members is. keep it between us..

if we leak to other forums, none of them will get benefit, once microsoft blocks it.

all our hardworks will be waste.

You guys are funny. Yes M$ created our own MDL key and told us to keep it secret...

The W7 OEM_SLP2.1 ultimate key was leaked from a Chinese Lenovo OEM_SLP image and belongs not to MDL! It IS public and soon more will follow... (home premium, server...etc.)

SLP keys were never blacklisted by m$ so far. They cannot!!!
If they would do, a lot of legit preinstallations would become de-activated...;)

Microsoft only issues a certain amount of OEM keys. Since the OEMs have already picked up their copies it is too late now to change a key.

With Windows 5.x (2000, XP, 2k3) each OEM had their own key. With Windows 6 that all changed, in Windows 6 there are only a certain amount of generic OEM keys. These keys are master OEM keys and are used to activate all OEM images from OEMs. The next part of the verification process is the SLIC, if you have a valid SLIC 2.1 table in your BIOS then it goes to the next part of the process which is the OEM cert, each major OEM (and now it seems like system builders can get certs too) has a cert that is matched to the SLIC table, if all 3 parts match your copy is activated.

So unless the OEM keys posted are not part of the master set of OEM keys they will not be blacklisted.

    lol Same to You?

And for others. i mentioned those, because i went through atleast 50 forums today.

every where they are saying source as MyDigitalLife mydigitallife, so naturally microsoft will keep an eye on our forum..

so no one will benefit right?
