yes, why not? and i will try to use win9 when m$ release it. I think no. I don't need touch screen on my lappy and pc
Nah, I have a friend who bought a VAIO last year, last month he tried to upgrade to win8.1 but failed due to driver not compatible, so for some guys win8.1 is still out of reach.
Another Windows 8.1 choice/preference thread when there are infinite already existing on MDL. One thread was closed last week.
It’s the old adage of moving forward with times and technology or get left behind with redundant systems. Apart from the horrid release of Vista which I totally ignored after the Beta release most Windows versions have improved and added value, though Microsoft have disgracefully monopolised price. However in respect of technology advancements in hardware it’s surprising how outdated and slow the operating systems are to catch up. This includes the crippled tablet OS releases which fundamentally lack CPU processor power and look somewhat over ambitious. I think one has to look forward to the newer micro Processors, in particular the APU and mobile type range (CPU+GPU) with better architecture, cores and power before thinking ahead as any OS is only as good as the hardware that runs it.
Compared to windows 7 it's s**t. I needed to do alot of reg tweaks to get things working like windows 7 Sample of 1 is a hack in the regedit to use my external hard drive longer then 15 minutes. If i didn't use that hack the drive will go in sleep mode and wake up after 5 minutes .... really cool huh ? NO!
I'll continue using XP, 7 and linux and avoid 8, 9 and anything that come after them. Unless they start over and re-think what a windows operating system should be...
Just a question, have you at least tried windows 8?. And of course i will try windows 9. And i do love windows 8.1 Lievre
Wy don't you wait for Windows 10 <sarcasm> I'm sure that M$ will launch Win10 in 2018... it will also stop the main updates in 2018 and terminate it in 2021 for Win9... Will u continue to use Win9 or wait for win10? Will u change ur monitor to touch screen even if you could connect the old one and it isn't broke or inadequate? </sarcasm> I think you can wait 3 years and than reevaliate if your are waiting another 3 years. You don't know it but a new Windows is surly always in the future. At least this is what my broken crystal ball is predicting. Or you are using MSDos (your avatar ) forever.
Yes, I did try it for 6 months, it's plenty of time. It invades your privacy in so many ways you can't count.
