I have started this thread/poll to see in general how windows 8 is being and will be used in the near future
Yes! I'm using Win8 as main OS since CP and I've no reason to go back to 7! (I'm just waiting for activation working with Media Center, because there is no easy other way to get a great PVR without installing tons of stuff)
So far I have found some programs that won't install and/or won't run in Windows 8. One that installed but won't run is Acronis Backup. So I intend to use Windows 8 for as many things as I can, there are some that it can't do yet. That is why I will dual boot with Windows 7 until updates fix the incompatibility in Acronis and any other programs that need updating.
I'll use it as my main operating system as soon as creative releases proper drivers for their soundcards...
I haven't tested it yet. Will likely do vm for a bit and after it has been out a while will switch as primary OS.
Dual boot, because have some drivers issues. My asus xonar dg control panel refuse to run in win8. In notebook when install sd card reader, system crash and no boot anymore...
Only when they will have good apps metro side. I don't stand switching metro and desktop all the time.
I gonna use this OS only in VM after I tried for many times to make it to normally run on mine laptop...
Will use it as my main os when : - Driver for my Dell Latitue E6420 will be available - A mini-kms solution will be available Until then, I won't even download it.
I am seriously thinking to undo a RAID with Windows 7 and use it as the main system, but still no drivers for my HIS RADEON HD 4670, and it seems that there will be no drivers available for it. Also I can not make the EPU ENGINE function properly.
