so with enterprise LTSB you can decide over your updates.

    that´s good.

    but.....

afaik you won´t get the new EDGE browser with Enterpriese LTSB.

and i read a few articles that sounded like you won´t get any feature updates even if you WANT them.
    you are locked featurewise.
basically you only get security and bugfixes but you are unable to decide that you WANT some of the new features.

there is no way to check and uncheck updates like with the current windows update function in windows 7 or 8.x?

with the normal enterprise you get the edge browser and you can defer updates for up to 12 month (4 month of the CB + 8 month of the CBB branch).
but at some point you will have to update anyway with the normal enterprise version.

is this correct or i am missing something?

    ps: what is LTSB N?

If you want features, don't install LTSB.... kinda the whole point of LTSB

while we are talking Editions, why would people choose Education Edition?

It's just win10 minus most the crap, plus a stable realease cycle aimed to people who actually needs a stable and reliable PC.

Kids and fanboys have different builds tailored for them

Education forces a desktop watermark displaying the SKU. It also gets feature branch upgrades through WU by default. Identical to (non-LTSB) Enterprise, otherwise.

    Because they're academic licensing customers?

If you find yourself asking why you would want a certain SKU, then you are clearly not the target audience.
