Team, Probably more informational as I don't require any assistance. I had a legit copy of Win 8 which I upgraded to Win 8.1. Because I am brave I made use of the free upgrade to Win 10 1709. So far, so good. Activated. I then upgraded from 1709 to 1809. Still activated. Then I started to get a message that my Windows needed activation. Huh? This went on for about a month and using my very good friend Google I found out that I can't use the VL copy to upgrade but had to use a commercial copy. It dropped dead on me. I have a legit key but I can't use it. Naughty M$!!! HTH
Everyone has a legit key after activation problems, that is very strange. I never faced this. Perhaps the issue is between the keyboard and chair
