Hi When win 10 were initially launched then I was able to download the ISO of windows 10 Pro with the help of media creation tool. But today While I was trying to make the fresh windows 10 ISO, I couldnt find the pro version in the list. There is just Windows 10 available in x86 and x64 format. Has MS changed the policy or something?
sorry what does it mean now? it's only windows 10 now? or will I be able to choose during installation?
If upgrade from Windows, the correct version is selected automatically. If boot from DVD or USB, you have to select the CORRECT edition to install, otherwise you won't activate the OS.
My OS is already upgraded and registered to Win10 Pro. Now I wanted to create the new ISO and the media creation tool is only showing me Windows 10 (nothing else) I mean no home or N or Pro)
you won't be given a choice as to which version will be installed, depending on the product key you enter during setup, that version would be installed. Yesterday I formatted and entered my Win 10 Pro key and it installed Windows 10 Pro for me
In 10240 If you'd got HWID/Digital Entitlement you had to skip every key question to get activated (and choose the proper version to install). Inserting the generic Pro key (ending at 3V66T) should not work. If it's possible in 10586 i don't know, haven't tested it yet.
Did you ever noticed that MSDN release contain Pro + Home in one iso: multiple_editions? same thing applies now for MCT, it creates multiple_editions iso
