    Hi guys,...

It's been one hell of a long time since i last came to these hallowed grounds. But after viewing an untold number of utube video's I soon realised that I really need more advanced and trustworthy information.

I find myself in a situation where gas/electric/mortgage/shopping for food out ways the possibility of purchasing a new p.c. (not even 2nd hand).
    Currently my p.c. is running Win 10, v 22H2 Build 19045.5737 on 8gb or ram. 2x2tb wd 7200 HD's and a 1tb samsung SSD boot drive.
This P.C was originally on win 7 ultimate, but I took advantage of the free update to windows 10 Pro.

I was thinking about going to win11 but after reading that MS may block future updates if the processor does not have SSE2 this has now made me think win11 may be an unwise decision. my processor core 2 duo only has SSE 4.1.
I have read that if I was to try Win11 my best version to use would be 23H2.

Only links i could find for 23H2 was over at "ar chive.org" and was 6.3gb and was called Windows 11 23H2 Multi-Edition x64 English ISO

I was initially going to try the rufus method that removes the MS requirements but soon realised that rufus could only download the very latest Win 11 iso.
I did read on another post this: "cpu older than 2011 need to stay on 23h2 or switch to windows 10 iot ltsc to have update up to 2032"
I have no idea what iot ltsc is, or how I could change my win 10 pro into iot ltsc.

I was initially hoping that I could do an offline bootable USB that would bypass the MS requirements and upgrade to win11, but now I feel somewhat helpless. any help, details, info or how to's would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance chaps.

Please just run Win 10 pro or up for the next 3 years (TSForge ESU) or upgrade to IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC and enjoy windows 10 till 2032.

Here you can find all about 23H2: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-3h2-retail-beta-rp-channel-ni_release.85327/

But it will upgrade to 24H2 or higher too at any time.
That won't bypass the SSE4.2 requirements.

MDL tool for bypassing the TPM/Secureboot requirements (but no tool will be able to skip the sse4.2 stuff):
Win 11 Boot And Upgrade FiX KiT (v5.1f Released!!!)

On such ancient hardware windows 11 will not run at it's best anyway, stay on 10.

Thank you kindly for the reply. I will try to do the upgrade to IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC.

On a side note, When my son got home from work we checked his asus laptop, He has an i5 (I wasn't given long enough to get the full details...) 8gb ram which can be easily upgraded,... and I checked his cpu... it's SSE 4.2.
But afaik there is no tpm. We ran the compatibility checker and it just said this machine does not meet the required, ect ect, If it has SSE 4.2, is it simply failing due to the lack of TPM.

I only skimmed the details for iot enterprise, but would i be correct in stating that I would need to totally re-install win 10 iot enterprise. I have never needed to use a key, as I modded my own bios many years ago.
This is only a guess, but I am assuming that it's not possible to convert from 10 pro to iot enterprise??

That seems to be the correct ISO for en-GB users.

Win 7 only exists as en-US, the upgrade to 10 probably was to en-US and some localized lxp (i can't remember all the terms) made it en-GB.

You can check the system localization by running this cmd:
    Code:
    systeminfo | findstr /B /C:“System Locale”
The output on my system is:
    Code:
    C:\Windows\system32>systeminfo | findstr /B /C:"System Locale"
    System Locale: en-us;English (United States)

When you are running the en-US windows 10 then you can simply use the en-US IoT Enterprise 2021 ISO (it should be in the same uploads i did for 2021 LTSC) after the editionID change to IOTEnterpriseS as explained in my previous reply.

When you are running en-GB windows 10 you can use the en-GB ISO you got and follow the given instructions in my previous reply.

You beat me to it.... I checked using cmd with the following, dism /online /get-intl and the result was EN-US. I was thinking of possibly testing Win 11 23H2 by making it portable on an external SSD... So I got the MediaCreationTool.bat from AveYo over on github. It took quite a while but eventually I had a file named 11 23H2 Consumer x64 en-US.iso. I tested an install using rufus "on the go" with mbr enabled. when i went to install the iso to the external SSD i was met with the following message iso contains a UEFI bootloader that has been revoked. (after some quick research it seems many have had the same warning even with windows 10.) Is this warning something to be concerned about, or has this been done by MS to stop people from installing older versions of windows 10 or 11. Maybe it's worth me downloading the iso again.

You keep changing your goals and focuses and not really responding to my replies, now you are going to make it portable, first get something basic to work.

I have invested quite some time answering your questions in detail, but you now have used all possible tools from other sites and the rufus nag about the uefi loader also has been discussed many times, it's not an official tool and msft is not using the signing method.

Sorry for the late reply Enthousiast,

I Wanted to see for myself what win 11 actually looks like, without it being installed. I have created a bootable windows 11 using a 64gb usb 3.1 thumb drive with 23H2 and tested it on another laptop running an i3 processor. The i3 laptop means nothing to me, so if anything went wrong I wasn't that worried. This p.c. is a totally different situation. The i3 laptop will boot into windows 11 just fine although its missing just one driver. A chipset driver.
My next attempt will be to test using an external SSD.
I have been reading about the version of windows 10 that allows updates to 2035, and I have read that it means bringing windows 10 down to a much older version, I just need a yes or no answer to this.
I understand your time is precious Enthousiast, and I thank you for all that you have done for me.
