Win 7 - build 7000 - sidebar issue

    Hi All,

    I'm not able to start the sidebar on my new win7.(just won't show up) is someone else having this issue ?

    Are you actually wanting sidebar or just your gadgets?

    I have the same issue - no gadgets - my only issue so far w/build 7000.

    Is there an actual "sidebar" in Win 7, like there is in Vista? I thought the gadgets were independent of any "sidebar" - I could be wrong.

    when you type 'sidebar' in the startmenu search thing, an application will show up ;)

    I noticed that - I cannot get it to execute in my OS - my only issue w/7000

    There was an issue like this in previous builds, a fix included copying files from another OS. I saved those files, tired it here - no luck. The files may have been from a 64 bit version though.

    I am waiting for the 64 bit OS to be available - then I'll work with that - in the mean time, I'm gadgetless:(

    in 7956, changing 'User account control Setting' down (level 0) make gadget unworking, I Think that its the same case. level 1 is good
