    hi
a freind of mine has installed 7077 and because hes not connected the net he cant let win7 activate like we all can and now he gets a popup stating "This not a genuine copy of windows 7".
ive tryed explaining to him its due to the software not communicating with a M$ server.
is there any way to get past this other than reinstall again (thou the same thing will happen again)
Is there any patches to remove the annoying popup that i can pass on to him.
    ???
    thx in advance.

thats the purpose of PHONE activation so you don't have to be connected to the internet. With Phone activation you don't need to be connected to the internet.

Phone activation does not mean dial in with a modem..

its just an 'voice mail' kind of digital lady that guides you through what to enter (with your phone keypad, etc)

yes, phone activation has nothing to do with having an internet connection..
btw, that digital lady is always so kind and nice to me. i want to go out with her :)
