Simple question, not yet acquired one, but would if it can run 7. I know it is obviously not officially supported, neither is the 7050, but it runs fine after some driver hacking. For the ones having reading problems, I didn't ask if I should use 10, NOT INTERESTED, NOT HAPPENING! So has anyone done it yet?
Really, a simple and logical question. If you want to use Windows 7, why not choose a computer that is made for Windows 7? Moreover, they are amazingly cheap, but very good things.
The Dell OptiPlex 7050 is a 6th and 7th generation Intel model and has downloadable driver support for Windows 7 64-bit. The Dell OptiPlex 7060 is an 8th generation Intel model and does not have downloadable driver support for Windows 7 64-bit. If you want to avoid any installation or driver issues with Windows 7 64-bit, select the 7050 or another 6th generation Intel model. I personally prefer the 6th and 7th generation Intel Dell Precision T3620 for Windows 7 64-bit.
