nothing online yet, some uploaded sites with no iso files at all. how many versions of win7 will MS upload? will there be a x64 bit version amoung ? best regads. dr love
Many sites wrote, that Windows 7 will be released tomorrow (7.1.09). I think that MS will release two versions, one x86 and one x64. I can't wait for it
You forgot the 7th. Rumor has it, after Steve Balmer's pre-CES keynote tomorrow, the beta will start.
Works for me: 7-7-07 at 7:07AM (we need a new release soon - some of you are getting a little nuts - good thing I am perfectly normal)
This may be a stupid question (but most people wish to learn in a forum): Whats the difference between the public beta that should be released soon, compared to the leaked version most of us are using right now? Excuse my ignorance but i figured they would be the same
Good question, some sources say build 7000 is the public beta, others think it isn't. Supposedly there are builds 7004, 7012 and 7013 also in the mix. Nobody will know for sure until the public beta is released.
humm ... are we all gonig to bet our own key? When downloading from MS aren't we suppose to register to download?
I don't know if the final plan has been revealed yet. If I remember correctly, when Vista was in beta it came with a key.
for me public beta 1 will be x64 and really faster and amazing.....just an opinion..... and tomorrow we will find the truth...
If it gets released tomorrow that is, I doubt i will bother 2bh, unless it has some major improvements, IMO build 7000 is stable enough to use for now until there is a genuine reason for me to update to the latest. Edit: bchat, thanks for clearing that up
i tried build 7000 build for 2 weeks, was quite impressed with speed & looks. But I missed some programs that wouldn't install e.g. Perfect Disk. I went back to Vista & its problems because I hope the public-beta can be activated. Also by the summer do you think my copy of Vista could be upgraded. Ofcourse at what cost is a $64 question. Cheers, Mike
There is no such thing. Look what Einstein discoverd by asking 'Stupid Questions' Build wise, there is no difference. Its the same code in the same image. But, it makes a big difference 'Marketing' wise. It means the people that have been testing it can talk openly (not that Microsoft has stopped them so far) about the product. i.e. whats new, whats not, whats good and whats bad. And it means component manufactures can release drivers specifically designed for the Beta. Plus by making it a 'Public Beta' it generates far more news coverage, and gives Microsoft far more fed back on bugs. @Bchat, Those other builds "7004, 7012, 7013 and now 7015" are from the RC branch. The Beta1 branch stopped development with the 7000 Build.
Thanks - here a build, there a build, everywhere a build build Working on 7000/64 now - life is good.
