Win 7 recover data

    My wifes laptop is having issues. Sometimes it starts up and others its just slow. There is no restore point but I can get into safe mode. Wife needs to get stuff off any ideas?

    Boot with Linux/Ubuntu (CD or USB), backup all you need to USB / DVD and reinstall Win7 (wait a day or so for integrated SP1 ISO)

    Sorry dont know how to do that lol, gonna try hirens boot cd and see what I can do that way.
