Check the BIOS has not been reset, if you change SATA Controller from IDE / SATA to AHCI it will BSOD on boot

Did you install any new drivers or hardware? Was there any updates being ran that you can remember? Can you write down and post anything you see on the BSOD? We can check if it is a hardware or software issue by putting another hard drive and installing windows to that or by booting a live cd like hirens Mini Xp or a copy of ubuntu.

Boot from the Windows DVD and run a chkdsk /f from Command Prompt to run a disk check and repair

EDIT - Just read above post

    Sound like possible HDD failure

Try booting from Spinrite CD and repair the drive, or put the drive in another machine and try to recover data

Depends how it has failed, spinrite can fix just about everything so long as the hardware is not damaged, you'll need to leave it running overnight / couple days

HDD Regenerator 2011 latest release, give it a try. It's much faster than SpinRite and it could solve your HDD problems.
