Just wondering if this would have the hardware activation triggered, or if I'd have to continue using kms activation...

I was using 8.1 Ent with Pico KMS activator ... upgraded to 10 ent. I had to use Pico again to activate win 10

updrage from Win 7 with Daz loader ...it will give you permanent activation

Enterprise requires KMS; Windows 10 Pro can use KMS or hardware activation. So yes, Pro with MS toolkit, activated, then upgrade to 10 and you'll be hardware activated. Clean install afterwards, skip all key entry prompts and you'll automatically be activated.

if you're going to upgrade soon let us know the result
Everyone is saying that you need to upgrade from a "dazzed" windows to maintain activation and we have many doubts in case you used something different from daz, like for example the toolkit.

    Really?? Is that true??

So if I install Windows 7 Professional (on my Vista notebook), the activate it with Daz, and then upgrade it to Windows 10, I will get a permanent activation??

What are you guys upgrading with? The download from this link: microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 ?
I have 8.1 Pro KMSPico and want to upgrade. What about the cdkey, do we need to enter something during the upgrade process?

Only the path to your pron library once at start :D.

OK, serious now. No need to enter anything, Skip all key prompts.

Would it work just the same by either upgrading via Windows Update or the ISO (upgrade path, not clean install)? I opened a topic about this question about an hour ago, 'cause I hadn't seen this one.

    Thanks for the reply!
It seems that I'll have to wait then, because I haven't "upgraded once" (or at all) yet, and all I have now is a MS Toolkit activated Windows 8.1 (thus not legit) with that GWX app that still shows me the "Notify me when it's ready" button and the ISO. Thank you for your info, though!

You can still opt for starting this manually via ISO. That GWX nonsense is only annoying, but not mandatory :D.

Ohh, that's even better! Ill give it a try.. If it goes wrong I think I'm going to install windows 7 and follow the Daz Loader way, just to be sure about activation.. But lets see...

    Thanks! :)

Ok, so, just to give a feedback, it worked perfectly! I downloaded W10 witht he download tool, saved as an ISO, mounted it on W8 and updated. Boom! Activated.

Haven't done a clean install yet though.

    Thanks a lot!
