hey, I installed win7 after having win8 as main OS (dual boot) ...but I've heard if u do opposite (install 7 then 8) YOU'LL be greeted with more advanced boot options & tools plus graphical colorful kinda window when u get to choose what OS u wanna boot... true?

If you Install windows 8 after installing windows 7 you will get this boot screen...

However you can Simpy change your current settings from default os from windows 7 to windows 8.

type "msconfig" with the run command or search tool from the windows 7 menu... and then select boot tap and change default os

Windows 8 graphical bootmenu sucks for dual-boot, IMHO. It first boots into Windows 8 to show the options, and then has to reboot again if you choose running Windows 7.

correct, it does load into windows 8 and provides the option to start windows 8 or other os. if you select windows 8 you will be at the log-on/desktop with seconds... but if you choice to run the other os. it reboots and loads the os you selected.....

thanks anyway, sadly changed the def. OS.. But same old boot manager that appears in win 7, I have a question, it said that the new windows boot manager comes with win 8 provides more advanced options for both 7 & 8.., what I really wanna change is the boot manager version itself.. got it?

Open System Properties while running Windows 8 (Win+R, type in: Sysdm.cpl), choose Advanced tab, then under Startup and recovery click on Settings button. Next, under Default operating system select Windows 8 instead of Windows 7. This should set the new boot loader with graphical interface that you are asking.

Reinstall Windows 8 or run Windows 8 repair
