You can upgrade from 8 to 8.1 but you need to have a Genuine MAK / KMS Key for 8.1 Enterprise. Because W8 MAK key won't work with 8.1 Enterprise.

    Thanks

i can disable the legacy mode so it will boot using win 8.X usb and leave it do the job!
i think i will install win 8 En or Pr and wait for the Real 8.1 release !

What is your installation source for Enterprise 8 ? You are saying that you have a MAK key from where you obtained (do remember most of the leaked keys are blocked by Microsoft). Never try to use it.

the MAK key is a company Ent key which is valid !
i just notice those Valid MAK keys are not working with Win 8.1 only with 8
i activated couple of them, probably need to wait for the official release of windows 8.1 so those MAK keys will works !

What type of VLSC Agreement your company has? Open/Open Value/Select Plus/SPLA/Enterprise/Government/Select 6, If you have access to VLSC and active agreement for Windows 8 License then you will be able to see Windows 8.1 MAK/KMS Keys from the Relationship Summary->Product Keys. Just go and grab it. The official release has nothing to do with it, if you don't have 8.1 Keys you can't do anything.

    Cheez

my company is Enterprise ( 50 000 Worker) i do have both MAK and KMS, as i mentioned early it 8.1 activation methode and we already spoke to MS,
MS said the official release will fix this matter and we will be able to use our MAK keys for EN/Pro activation !

You are not being clear with your wordings / willing to understand what I am saying. Read the below and reply accordingly.

Alright then your agreement Level would be "Select Plus" / "Enterprise 6" since you have more than 50K employees. As i already said that if you have VLSC Access you can get the 8.1 MAK/KMS Keys. Also, Windows 8 MAK/KMS Key won't work with 8.1 that's why they are providing 8.1 Key for active VLSC Agreement holders especially if you have VLSC Agreement w/ Software Assurance. I don't think that you can use the 8 MAK key w/ 8.1 please confirm that once again w/ Microsoft VLSC Support.

    Thanks
