i hope someone answers this for me, i've been stressing about it for a month already.
So one day when i finally figured out what reformatting was, i ask some frends to let me borrow their xp sp disks to reformat. When i got the disks and tried to install windows the cd keys dont work. The error message that popped up was: "PRODUCT ID you entered is invalid." My question is what is a volume license product key? Also, any ideas on whats the problem and if anyone can give me some headers i'd really appreciate it. THX

Windows, CD Xp OEM or CD XP RETAIL?

What cd do you use a OEM or a RETAIL?

There is much diference in the keys and activation mode.

Original CD or a make yourself CD or download from internet?
