I just replaced old intel Haswell i5 for Ryzne 5950x all works but restart and shutdown (sleep also but I do not use it) get to the point where VGA, USB and lan is shutdown but PSU stay on, I tried enabling/disabling fastboot, uninstall most system driver in safe mode and no help Shutdown/restart from safe mode works fine so something get broken switching from intel to amd platform in OS config/driver/setting So its clear to me OS manage to do full shutdown but for some reason issue is with acpi/power control for HW is send last Its not big issue atm so will not do clean reinstall I would prefer if I could fix it, its quite old system from 2016 win10 upgraded each time to new build
I think its time for a clean install.... 5 year with MicroLimp update/upgrades i think that puppy needs to goto digital afterlife....
when switching/changing mobos from Intel to AMD chipset (or reverse like from AMD to Intel) always do a clean install
I know but there is big chance windows10 survive it 100% ok, here defo some issue with some system files/drivers will wait for windows 11 and upgrade if not will reinstall one day soon when i get enough of it
Upgraded to windows 11 all works fine, but guess what still PSU refuse to shutdown power or restart do it his magic I mostly shut down/restart PC 6-10 time a year so not a big deal just wanted to solve it
