i'm messing around with a family member's computer, that i believe has Win10 Pro activated with "KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher-kms-24" and the generic T83GX key ...i would like to switch the activation method to using an RTM key

can this be done without having to do a complete fresh install?...i would prefer to not have to reinstall all my apps, settings, etc.

also, how can KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher-kms-24 be uninstalled?

Just insert the desired activation key.

When you've installed the hookpatcher, uninstall it.

ps, the activation of office now will be for the remainder of the 180 days KMS activation period.

Windows 10 Pro should switch to the retail channel after entering the generic pro hwid key.

before seing your most recent animated post above, i went ahead and removed my previous key manually using the CMD prompt, then installed the generic Pro key manually with CMD...all is good now...thanks

It's not advised to use -upk, it can lead to problems, as you can see it's not needed anyway:)

only thing i can think of, since i tried using the Activation page to change the key several times just as you show, and kept getting error message saying key was not valid or that it couldn't be used with my copy of Windows...i even tried entering the generic key by copy & pasting as well as each character manually

so in the future i'll try disconnecting from the internet when changing key :p
