Hello, Today I have installed in VMW12 Win10 ENT N using: SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_N_10_1607_64BIT_English_MLF_X21-06998.ISO Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.0) Then I have checked OS version and I get this info: The Windows 10 Enterprise N operating system Then I have performed windows update after reboot I get Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.10) Then I have disabled network Then I have activated windows using Microsoft Toolkit 2.6 BETA 5 When I have checked OS version I get this info: The Windows 10 Pro N operating system I do not have a problem with this but is this 'normal' ? Thanks in advance for any comment on this Kind regards Update 03-Aug-2016 1. I have uninstalled MTK and rebooted 2. Then I have run MTK again 3. When I have checked OS version I get this info: The Windows 10 Enterprise N operating system 4. All o.k. now
You'd installed the Enterprise N Version and that's what is shown in the outcome: totally normal! If you run WU, that will works for Enterprise N, and nor something else too! Your ISO used for the install stated it very well: SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_N_10_1607_64BIT_English_MLF_X21-06998.ISO, and all you'll get the normal way, is for Enterprise N! And just to mention: the N stands not for Network
Pretty sure the issue OP is asking about is that it somehow becomes "Pro N", which is not "totally normal".
There is a new licensing combination in RS1 for three editions: Pro - Pro Education - Enterprise all those 3 can be activated with the other one license/key same applies for N variant of editions apparently MTK installed Pro N key and activated it (probably because its SKU-ID comes first alphabetically)
Hello abbodi1406, thanks a lot for your reply did not know about new licensing combination in RS1 anyways as I have mentioned in my original post I do not have a problem that edition changed I was just curious about that
