DMI edit for HP XP and Server 03 are the same?

    Thanks urie

Do you know if I have to re-edit the DMI or will the previous edit of Manufacturer, System Board and Chassis to Hewlett-Packard be the same for server 03?
If it is the case that the DMI edit for HP XP and Server 03 are the same, would it be possible to have XP on one drive and the server on another using a disc manager and have the 2 different OEM OS on one machine?

    Thanks for your input

Edit-add: I noticed a SETUPP.INI file in the package OEM_2K3_HP_ENTERPRISE_FILES that has jogged my memory, I also modified the OOBEINFO.INI file for unattended setup with XP and I guess this would be the same procedure. The term r2, does this mean server 03 with SP2?

No, "Hewlett-Packard" is a good string for server 2003, so just find the link on this forum for oembios files for HP 2003

    Edit : this omebios pack work for 2003, sp1, sp2 R2

    disc name

I have a list of the correct disc names for versions of OS from when I made current disc, it’s just a habit!

Would anyone know where I could find the original name for server 2003 Enterprise disk?

    Cheers

    To easy, thanks

Tacktec.com covers the disk name and label, spot on willko.

I have decided to buy another hard drive before installing server.
It will save having to erase XP; I am hoping its possible to keep both OS. Being that both are HP ready it might be worth a try?

Are there post sp2 updates that I might download now in preparation of the new hard drive next week.
For my XPSP3 I keep an up to date copy of Net framework and Win Installer, are they compatible with Server?

    Thanks for the help
