Hi I have Amilo Pa2548 notebook with SATA drive. When I try to install Win 7, it stay very long on expanding files window. Two times at 15%, once at 10%. Tri dots after the percents are running, mouse is operational, led for HDD activity light... But nothing happend. It just stay at 10%. I don't think that this is becouse of SATA HD, at the begining of the instal, win7 recognize the drive. What to do?
this happened to me on my hp dv7 laptop several times it stuck expanding files at 16% later found out that the hard disk was faulty! have you tried running a diagnostic on your hard drive? you could have bad sectors maybe! or you could try and install by usb!
