I posted this in wrong spot earlier. sorry. I have Gateway DX4860 with acer MoBo AMI bios (P01-A02) I installed asus 3.0 pcie usb adapter and asus external optical drive. the 3.0 adapt fails to recognize the external drive. it will not show up in device manager yet when i plug drive in 2.0usb win7 says "device will perform better in 3.0 slot" asus says this is not hardware or adapter issue it is bios and refuse to help. any ideas??
