hello guys, I want to download windows 7 lastest version of ISO. but i don't want to use any software for that. i want the fresh iso from microsoft's website. but it asking for a valid key so i can't do that. so is there any way to download the legit one??
The links in this post (click) seem to be working. You would probably want the Professional edition, especially if you wish to use a kms activator on a uefi system with gpt disk.
It's not just Ultimate, you can remove ei.cfg from any retail iso to unlock all editions, even Home Premium. Doesn't work with special vl only iso's of Professional, or Enterprise.
You seems to be a smart guy, but who told you that only with Ultimate it is so? Where did you get that thing from? Or did you not realize that the download was given for Ultimate but the user wanted to get the Professional?
Wasn't trying to act smart. But it is not at all clear to me what version OP wants, what version he may have already downloaded, or how he intends to activate after downloading.
I did not realize the OP wanted Professional edition. Surely because I'm stupid, yeah most likely. Now, where in the above posts @Demoxing asked for such edition?
Frankly, it doesn't matter what version or how to activate. He knows what he is doing. But more importantly, every day is the same question and everyone opens again a new topic where asking the same question. I wonder what's good about it or it is rule?
Yes, the bad one. You're much better off downloading a SP1 media refresh iso(dated 2011) and applying simplix updatepack to it. If you read a bit more, you'll be able to integrate the latest directx/visual c++/net framework available for windows 7. A much better iso to perform a fresh install with, rather than those crappy-made August 2018 "refreshes".
Yeah, thanks. I discovered the same after downloading a couple of those 2018 iso's. Should have read the "New ISOs" thread first. Single index install.wim, so forget about removing ei.cfg as mentioned earlier. Can't make any other editions available.
