I installed Windows 7 Ultimate since sunday, with WoW7.0.1, and it was all fine till this morning, i used it normally, then shut down as normal, came back from work an hour ago, start checking my gmail, this forum, and i saw that Firefox every 1-2 minutes will pause for 4-5 seconds, mouse will keep moving but cursor turns into the waiting circle, the same to IE8 and the same for Chrome. seems to happen also for other apps. anybody encountered this issue? I have the 8 updates installed since monday, and now i also tried windows update with all available updates and restarted, but the sudden hangs are still there....
i am sure than nobody used it... :s and windows update till an hour ago was off, so no ms updates that block the oem key. i am asking because now it has been 3-4 days since installing, and from what i read is that win7 for the first 3 days will not alert about activation, then starts once a day....
I am also having slowdowns for some reason on ultimate x64. Usually when i'm using installshield everything starts to hang for a few seconds or moving large files to the disk windows is on
Why would it hang only when it's installing applications? It boggles my mind with this one. Sorry if I sound a n00b here
I have the same problem with x64 Win7 Ultimate. It even crashes my audio driver. I'm pretty sure my driver is the latest one and compatible with Win7 (IDT Audio driver 6.10.6209). Pls help!
I have the same problem, crocexx hi crocexx, I have the exact same problem, here's my hardware config (please describe yours also): Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe (Nforce 590 SLI Chipset) Sound blaster X-Fi Platinum Primary hard disk: WD Raptor 150GB ATI Radeon 4850 + ATI Radeon 4550
I've observed on all my Windows 7 x64 installations that the harddisk at some point will start working like crazy for no apparent reason and not stop. I now attribute it to Windows Defender.
I'm running: Asus P5k SE mobo Samsung Spinpoint F1 650GB Primary HDD Nvidia GTX 295 Gfx card Intel E8500 Cpu Still can't figure out why the slowdown. The HDD is absolutely fine and it's only when installing programs that I get the crazy lag
dear all it may me due to background softwares, especially from superfetch. try this if you bored it goto start => run type services.msc find superfetch and disable it. restart your lovely computer. done! hope it can help you. btw if you have 4 GB of RAM[at minimum] this problem can be solved to.
