    Hi!

I do not have permission to install any software on my win7.
I can`t download .exe files anywhere. Not even to my user folder.
Some of my software is not able to save preferences to my own
documents folder, can`t use cache folder, can`t start other parts
from itself or stopped working the same way they used to.

I can`t gain access, modify ownership, or install anything.
I have limited access to my user documents folder as well.
No matter whether I log in as administrator. I can`t run regedit.
I was able to do these things with the same install earlier,
but somehow I seem to have very limited rights to access
my computer since an unknown time.

The windows is the RTM version, clean install, (no update
from earlier windows, formatted HDD) I did not use any windows loader,
bios mods or any other stuff to crack or modify it.
It`s not registered yet, I extended the time limit once.

    Could anybody help me, please?

    Thank you!

You could start with just registering ?
    Makes life easier...

Then post back if you still have those issues.

I don`t want to regster until it turns out to be safe.
after I prolonged te registration time it worked fine.

After searching for the problem on google,
I figured out lots of people had the same problem,
but al posts was from january and beta versions
and I could not find any soultions for the final version.
Nobidy could really tell the final solution
or I could not do the steps for the solution
    becouse of limited acces.

Why would you think it isn't safe ?? That's rediculus...
Worst case scenario (if you use a loader), is your os gets marked as not genuine, in which case you either use another loader, or a bios mod. Problem SOLVED.
Worst case scenario if you use a bios mod...well....none. Not one bios mod has been blocked for over a year now...

It's been safe since win7 came out (even before!).

Just use one of the loaders, or request a bios mod.
If it isn't safe now, it'll never be safe, and you'd be better off switching back to xp or vista, instead of waiting untill eternity.

There hasn't been ONE activiation here on MDL that hasn't been "safe".
Some had a problem with one of the loaders, but they ALWAYS got solved easily.

So quit the paranoia and activate it, and use which way you prefer. It'll be perfectly "safe".
And I'll bet the "limited access" will be gone too...

I don`t think registering is nos safe.
I got this version from a friend to try it before I buy it.
I wanted to know wether al my software is runnig or
I should use vista for a while until sp1 is out.
I either by my one, or use vista or xp, but I don`t register this one.

The problem has nothing to do with registering anyway.
It`s still working, I can use it, but it seems to be frozen
to an earlier stage. I can do everything what does not need
    elevated user ritghts.

The admin password window is gone, instead I always got a permission error.
whatever I do. Thats the problem.

@ ford77, can't you not just go into Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Action Center and disable UAC.

When I log on as administrator it is turned off.
I mean it is set to "do not notify me...". This is the lowes level.
Is there any other place to turn it off?

As user I can`t start this window. I click on it, but nothing happens!
