My suggestions from the other thread still stand Iphone...even the one about replacing WMP with a good player Bloodbat
Is the problem you are having a lag when the monitor goes in standby/power saving mode and the desktop is unresponsive with the taskbar set to autohide?.... because I have that issue as well with RTM 7600, I think its actually a wide spread bug but I am surprised that it has not been addressed yet.
uninstall your grafics driver and don't update the drivers.. on rc1 win7 freezed with some graphic cards with driver. i don't know if it works now in rtm, but it will be worth to test .. hope it helps someone o)
I seem to be having this issue. It isn't always, but sometimes every now and then, Windows 7 freezes, normally when im listening to music, yet all my drivers are up to date. I've also applied the updates from the WinCert website.
Your computer is probably freezing because your chipset and controllers probably need drivers. This seems to be quite common for those with an Intel chipset and Intel disk controllers/etc. I recommend downloading Everest Ultimate from download.com, install it then look at Computer -> Summary. And see what hard drive controllers and chipset you have. Then go to intel.com or amd.com and download what you need. Intel has something called Intel Matrix Storage Manager for its controllers. I have to do this every time I reformat with my dell otherwise it freezes like you've described.
Like i said, i have the latest drivers for everything. Chipset, Sound Card, Graphics Wireless LAN TV Card etc etc. I've used driver programs and general knowledge to update these. Im thinking it could be ESET Smart Security causing the problem
Nope, thats my next plan. Only started when i installed this though, i think. Can't find any other decent Anti-virus software thast fully Win 7 compatible
