So I just came to my computer and I had the Get Windows 10 Icon. I assumed Windows Loader activation was blacklisted?
I think that a "loaded" Windows 7 will be recognized as unactivated when Windows 10 will be installed, because the OEM trick won't work anymore but I can't say if MS decided to blacklist the OEM licenses of Daz Loader from the upgrade promotion, and I believe that MS didn't.
Dunno if they'd blacklist keys, but I'm sure the Upgrade process will pull the computer into a "Clean" state so MS can verify if it's actually Genuine. If MS allows SLIC 2.1 PCs to upgrade (Win7 OEM PCs without requiring COA Key) then only those with BIOS mods will get a free W.10. If MS require a COA key, then the majority of genuine W7 users will just laugh at MS and their s**tty melted COA stickers.
Running pirated KMS server activated Win 8.1 VL ATM. I have a legit Win7 license for this PC though. I guess I'll just wait a day before July 29, do a iso install of Win 7 with legit serial, then upgrade to Win 10 via M$ update, then do a clean iso Win10 install. Not sure how M$ will handle Win 10 iso installs though
They have said ISOs will be available to do clean installs AFTER you upgrade first...when they will be available I'm not sure, maybe not day 1.
Assuming that, what sort of activation will be needed for a legit Win 10 iso install? Maybe: Win 7 -> Win 10... you enter the Win 7 key Win 8.1 -> Win 10... the key will be read from the bios
I would think that MS has some sort of post-upgrade process that verifies things. I doubt that they'd hand over a free upgrade to pirates. The only pirate offer I heard them offer was specifically for China.
I thought i read that Pirates could get 1 upgrade only it would not be Activated until they bought a Windows 10 License.
If you do some digging, you will see if you install the tech preview you will get it for free anyway on July 29th. Read the article on maxpc as they have a link tot he windows blog.
An Insider evaluation build. Insiders DO NOT get a free Win10 license from scratch. Only if they upgraded from a genuine 7/8>TP do they get the option to convert the Evaluation version of RTM to final.
When you install win 10 in a duel boot it checks and deactivates win 7 installs that have been activated with DAZ so they know how to check without having to effect the actual OEM Licenses. I'd imagine MS also knows all the QEM Keys so QEM key + DAZ loader = no activation for you until you provide valid key. But who knows, we'll see soon I guess
Not really, it simply writes a new MBR. I suppose they could check the MBR but they can't identify the loader so they'd have to reject any unknown MBR.
i think microsoft knows which keys is expired already cauze daz don't use anymore news keys use just old keys for activated.....the last version it was months ago.. if you think it logical Microsoft says about 5 Million Devices only Windows insider Count also the others if microsoft want reach the 1 billion then need all devices in planet...so all must take the upgrade...
